Cooking Afloat made Easy

Judy Oliver and Liz Brooking are sailing ladies who both belong to Haven Ports Yacht Club. Their real claim to fame though is as the authors of a new book of easy to make tasty recipes for when afloat. “A Taste of Haven Ports” is a 184 page collection of recipes from members of the club, liberally sprinkled with line drawings by Judy’s daughter Cara.

Olympic Spirit at the Up River Yacht Club

Up River Yacht Club, based on the River Crouch at Hullbridge, is celebrating its 70th Anniversary this year. The club is hosting two days of dinghy races around Olympic-style courses on 7th and 8th October. The series was held for the first time last year, and proved so successful that it has now become an Open Event.
